We first opened our garden to visitors in 1998 after collecting Daylilies and Hostas for over 15 years. We now grow and sell over 500 different AHS registered varieties and have about 30,000 plants. Don’t they say that one is too many and one thousand is not enough? With daylily and hosta collections, that is definitely the case. We are hosta-holics and hem-nuts.
Daylilies start blooming the middle of May and peak in mid June, with some still blooming into fall. We dig all Daylily plants fresh from the garden as you select them. You get the best plant we have available. Lots of Daylily varieties are $10 for a large blooming-size double fan and we have some more recent introductions that are a little higher priced. Cultivars marked “Display Only” are not available for sale this year.
Hostas are grown in one gallon or 8″ containers. Larger varieties in 8″pots have huge 1-2 eyes, while smaller varieties have multiple eyes. These are not 3-4 inch pots or liners.
Our nursery is state inspected and certified by the South Carolina Department of Plant Industry at Clemson University. All plants are guaranteed healthy and true to name.
We are members of both the American Hemerocallis Society and American Hosta Society. Please visit us in the spring. The garden is open only on weekends April through June. Fridays 12-6, Saturdays 9-4 and Sundays 12-6. Closed Monday-Thursday. Closed Easter Sunday.
